Triumph Motorcycles launched the new BS-6 compliant, much anticipated Street Triple R in India. It is priced at INR 8.84 lakhs. Shoeb Farooq, Business Head of Triumph Motorcycles India said, “The premium middle-weight segment is growing in India and is becoming more competitive. With the introduction of the R we strengthen our position in this category. The R is the perfect proposition for someone who wants an agile, middle weight street naked with racing DNA. It packs all the punch of the RS, offering the best of both worlds given its lineage with the Moto2 engines.”

Triumph Street Triple R Specifications

The Street Triple R features the BS6-compliant 765 cc, liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine. The engine outputs 118 PS of power at 12000 rpm and 77 Nm of torque at 9400 rpm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed transmission aided by a slipper clutch.

If we talk about the brakes, then at the front wheel, there is twin 310 mm floating discs with Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial monobloc calipers. And at the rear wheel, single 220 mm disc with Brembo single piston caliper. The fuel average of the motorcycle is 19.23 kmpl.

The motorcycle comes with three riding modes for maximum control in all conditions – Road, Rain, and Sport. These adjust throttle response and traction control settings and are easily selectable while riding via the Street Triple R’s LCD instruments. Rain mode restricts peak power to 100 PS for better feel and a smoother ride. Completing the technical specification, the Street Triple R features ride-by-wire, ABS, and traction control.

The Triple R now benefits from new distinctive twin LED headlights, new contemporary bodywork and graphics updates, new silencer styling, new-style mirrors, and a fresh choice of exciting color schemes. The Street Triple R has all-new bodywork to give a distinctive new aggressive and contemporary style. The updates include fly-screen, air intake, side panels and rear unit.

Other features include dual channel ABS, self start only, split seat type, digital speedometer, trip meter, odometer, low fuel warning lamp, and liquid cooled cooling system. The Street Triple R is available in 2 colors: Matte Silver Ice, and Sapphire Black.
